First Week/First Post

So part of me (okay, most of me) felt like one of those crazy base jumpers, who jump into pitch black caves with no idea where they might land when I left college. I frustratedly drove all over south Jersey looking for a job. I went from living in the middle of a major city, balancing classes, homework, work-work, friends and family to...south Jersey.
For those of you who may be thinking of Jersey as the metropolitan area up past trenton, let me describe South Jersey for you....nothing!
really, we have some cows and a crappy mall or two and thats mostly it.

Anyway, one day while walking around this broken down old town I was hit by inspiration - Event planning! I have always loved organizing big events and even took it upon myself to set up all of the shows for my friends who had their own little "band" when I was 14 and 15. I love it. I get all tingly and excited just thinking about planning events! and despite the fact I can never see myself having a traditional wedding (I'm more of the "eloping-type") I have always been intrigued by the idea of designing and planning a wedding.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a "do-er" and once I get an idea I have to get it going right away - I can't sit still with ideas.

Fast forward a month.

Here I am going into the second week of my internship at JP Event Design in Philadelphia (yesss...I moved back to Jersey, only to have to constantly commute back to Philly)

I don't want to make this post too long cause I know I probably would have lost interest already (although I have the attention span of a cockerspaniel!) but I am loving it so far. and will continue to post about the goings-on of being an intern!
